ZyGEM has licensed and is developing a new technology that allows the identification and detection of multiple microbes in one assay. This technology is covered under a recent U.S. patent application.

One early key application is a sexually transmitted diseases identification kit that will enable health providers to diagnose patients from a catalog of over twenty diseases simultaneously.

This proprietary technology has the potential to deliver rapid diagnostics to multiple outlets including molecular diagnostics and industrial laboratories, family doctors and even patients at home.

Potential markets include medical and life science applications, the veterinary industry, the livestock and agricultural industries, environmental monitoring and also food and beverage producers.
