The ZyGEM family of products are ideally suited to lab automation, allowing throughputs in the many hundreds of samples per hour, using a variety of relatively inexpensive, open platform laboratory automation workstations.

Thermal control of the protocol, with minimal pipetting steps makes the ZyGEM technology rapid to implement on almost any workstation. The speed of the process, including incubation and handling time, means that attention can focus on the assay itself, rather than on sample preparation.

Any automation workstation that can accommodate a Peltier controlled heating block, or can be integrated with a thermocycler, can be used to automate the ZyGEM workflow. The handling needed for the assay is minimal, and the tip usage low, allowing batch processing of multiple 96-well plates on a low footprint workstation, at very low sample cost.

In partnership with ZeeTag™, we currently offer a collection and preparation platform that allows closed tube sample processing from the stockyard to a 96-well format automation workstation and then to PCR assay. This technology encompasses a manual punch/ collection device that is rapidly arrayed in 96-well format on arrival at the diagnostic laboratory.
