A diverse spectrum of fungal species can be encountered in environmental samples, agricultural specimens or in biosecurity test samples. ZyGEM are presently beta-testing prepGEM™ Fungi, a new ZyGEM DNA extraction kit that will be released shortly. Efficacy has been demonstrated on a range of fungi from yeasts and filamentous ascomycetes to basidiomycetes.
